Neugart USA Opens New Headquarters in North Carolina

Manufacturing and assembly plant offers shorter lead times for US customers

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA.—Neugart USA recently announced that it has opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly plant in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new 30,000 square foot plant replaces and builds on the capabilities of the company’s previous facilities in Virginia and Pennsylvania.

“With all our production and customer service now in one location, the new facility strengthens our North American presence,” said Thomas Osygus, general manager of Neugart USA, in a company release. “And it makes us more responsive than ever with shorter lead times for all of our standard gearboxes.”

Neugart USA offers a wide range of standard and custom planetary gearboxes in many different sizes, ratios, and configurations. Its products are known for their high torque densities, the company reported.

Charlotte has emerged as a hub for manufacturing technology companies, which gives Neugart USA access to a significant amount of workforce talent, the company reported. Two local colleges offer an apprenticeship program that’s modeled after the Germany vocational education program. These programs provide Neugart with a “good pool of aspiring talent,” the company said.
